For those unable to catch Usher at the highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance, an alternative awaits at the 2024 Lovers & Friends festival. Scheduled for May 4 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, the one-day event boasts a star-studded lineup featuring Lil Wayne, Nas, Ludacris, Nelly, Cam’ron, Jeezy, Snoop Dogg, Backstreet Boys, and many others.
The festival promises a nostalgic experience, with Usher set to perform his 2004 hit album “Confessions,” while Lil Wayne will showcase “Carter III” from 2008. Pre-sale tickets are currently available on the festival’s website.
In a poignant moment last December, Usher bid farewell to his celebrated Las Vegas residency. The R&B legend, visibly emotional during his final performance at Dolby Live—Park MGM on December 2, broke down in tears while performing “Without You.” In a fan-captured video, Usher kneels, covers his face, and expresses gratitude to the sold-out crowd, saying, “God bless you, I love you.” Earlier in the show, he serenaded Mary J. Blige and H.E.R., leaving an indelible mark on the memorable occasion.
