JT Celebrates Successful Release of “Sideways” and Teases Upcoming EP

City Girls member JT took to Instagram on Saturday to revel in the success of her recently released single, “Sideways.” In a congratulatory post, she expressed pride in her accomplishment, acknowledging that her only competition is herself. JT also extended gratitude to her followers for their unwavering support.

“Congratulations to ‘Sideways’ on debuting with no bars in #’s! My ONLY competition is myself …GO JT! I’m proud of you JT & thank you’ll for y’all genuine support!” she shared on Instagram. The post featured several images of JT, media coverage of the new song, and more.

This release is part of JT’s ongoing preparations for her debut EP as a solo artist. In a conversation with Kali Uchis for Interview Magazine last year, she revealed her desire for the project to have a raw, grungy sound. Initially aiming for a release around her birthday in December, JT decided to take more time to ensure perfection. She now anticipates the EP’s release at the beginning of the coming year.

Accompanying the new single, JT unveiled a visually stunning music video. Displaying versatility, she performs in the back seat of a Rolls-Royce, participates in a photoshoot behind the scenes, and more. This solo venture follows her collaboration with City Girls partner Yung Miami in 2023 for the project RAW.
