A brewing conflict between the fanbases of Ice Spice and Megan Thee Stallion gained momentum after a tweet from a Nicki Minaj account triggered tensions. The tweet questioned the perception of Ice Spice as “untalented” due to having “one flow” and twerking on stage, prompting comparisons with Megan Thee Stallion. The tweet swiftly circulated on musical Twitter, accumulating nearly 100,000 views within hours and sparking responses from supporters on both sides.
A Megan fan defended the Houston rapper, emphasizing her prowess as an “actual performer” capable of more than screaming a signature phrase. An anti-Nicki account questioned Ice Spice’s chart performance, while another critic predicted a trajectory similar to Saweetie’s fall from prominence due to perceived lack of talent.
Ice Spice Shifts Focus to Latto Feud
Despite the ongoing Twitter clash, Ice Spice shifted her focus to renew her feud with Latto during a Spaces AMA this week. Addressing fan questions, Spice expressed displeasure at being featured in the background of Latto’s recent video snippet for “Pretty Girl.” Spice questioned the authenticity of the situation and urged Latto to be bold if discussing her. The Bronx rapper’s comments intensified the existing rivalry between the two artists.
This recent confrontation follows the release of Ice Spice’s “Think U The Shit (Fart),” where she took direct shots at Latto. The origins of the initial beef remain unclear, but fans quickly aligned with their respective artists. Latto has yet to directly respond to both Spice’s latest single and the comments regarding the cameo in her recent snippet, leaving fans to choose sides in this ongoing feud.
