Azealia Banks has stirred controversy with a recent Instagram comment seemingly invoking the death of Ms. Jacky Oh! while responding to critics. The incident unfolded when a hater trolled Banks for her appearance on Wild’N’Out, accusing her of crying on the show. In response, Banks made a disturbing reference, stating, “And the b-tch laughing at me also died on Wild’N’Out, on my birthday in my city. Who’s next?”
Many interpreted this comment as a reference to the death of Ms. Jacky Oh!, a Wild’N’Out regular who passed away earlier in the year due to complications from BBL surgery. Fans expressed their disapproval of Banks’ remarks, with some condemning the insensitivity and heartlessness of her comment.
Online reactions included criticism of Banks for potentially using Ms. Jacky Oh! to deflect attention from her performance on Wild’N’Out. Some noted that being on a show centered around humor should involve an ability to take a joke. Others defended Banks, acknowledging the biting wit associated with Geminis but still expressing discomfort with her low blow.
This incident is the latest in Banks’ recent string of online conflicts. She recently expressed support for Nicki Minaj after Kanye West criticized Minaj for not clearing her verse on “New Body.” Banks, however, joined others in condemning Kanye’s behavior, particularly after an explosive rant about Jews, which prompted actor Michael Rapaport to launch a scathing verbal attack on the rapper. The online beefs continue to escalate, drawing attention to Banks’ provocative and controversial presence on social media.
