Justin Bieber and Drake, both prominent figures among Canadian exports, are known for their sports affiliations with teams from their home country. While Drake is a familiar face courtside at Toronto Raptors games, Bieber recently surprised fans by pledging allegiance to a different team in an entirely different sport.
Captioning an Instagram post with pictures from a recent Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game, Bieber wrote, “Had fun last night at the next-gen game with the @mapleleafs.” The post features Bieber and his partner donning Maple Leafs merch. However, Drake chimed in with a hilariously passive-aggressive comment, expressing his surprise at not being invited to the game. “Wow guy doesn’t even invite me to see some puck bunnies, eh,” Drake’s comment reads. The post garnered over 1.5 million likes, with Drake’s comment accumulating more than 14k reactions.

Drake, known for his recent release “You Broke My Heart,” a standout from Scary Hours 3, faced controversy in the music video for the track. The video featured a cameo by country music superstar Morgan Wallen, whose 2021 incident involving the use of a racial slur still draws criticism. Despite the controversy, the track has garnered nearly 40 million Spotify streams since its addition to the album in November.
As the attention shifts to Drake’s desire to join Bieber at a hockey game, fans are left to speculate about the potential collaboration of these two Canadian stars in the sports arena.
