On Friday, Lil Yachty took to Twitter to address fans trolling his fashion choices, urging them to reconsider their judgment before critiquing his outfits. Earlier in the day, the rapper had shared multiple pictures showcasing one of his more vibrant looks.
In response to the outfit post, one user commented, “Bro wearing nursing student scrubs,” while another humorously remarked, “Respectfully this sh*t look like what the Whos from Whoville wear.” Yachty didn’t let the comments slide and fired back, saying, “I be seein some of yall outfits as yall try to judge mine and i be appalled.”
This isn’t the first time Lil Yachty has faced backlash on social media recently. Last month, he stirred controversy by expressing his views on the current state of hip-hop during an interview at Rolling Stone‘s “Musicians on Musicians” event in Brooklyn, New York. Yachty argued that hip-hop is in a “terrible place,” citing a lack of originality and risk-taking in the genre. While some fans and pundits criticized his remarks, Yachty acknowledged artists pushing boundaries, citing JID as an example.
