Last year, Playboi Carti thrilled fans with the announcement of his upcoming tour, which promised to feature his entire Opium label. However, excitement turned to frustration as the tour faced delays and rescheduling soon after its announcement, leaving its fate uncertain. Now, after the originally slated dates have passed, fans have received a disappointing update: the tour has been officially canceled, with ticket holders receiving refunds.
Reacting to the cancellation, fans expressed a mix of disappointment and resignation. Many expressed little surprise, given the tour’s troubled history. Some had initially hoped the tour would coincide with a new album release from Carti, but now doubts have arisen about the album’s existence. Despite this setback, Carti made waves with his appearance on Future and Metro Boomin’s collaborative album “WE DON’T TRUST YOU,” where Kendrick Lamar’s verse targeting Drake and J. Cole garnered significant attention.
Carti and Travis Scott joined Future and Metro Boomin at Rolling Loud for a performance of their track “Type Sh*t,” further fueling anticipation among fans. With the cancellation of the Antagonist tour, fans are left disappointed, and questions linger about Carti’s future plans.
