The 2024 Grammy nominations were officially revealed by the Recording Academy, setting the stage for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards scheduled for February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Leading the pack is SZA, who secured an impressive nine nominations, making her a contender in major categories such as Album of the Year (“SOS”), Record of the Year (“Kill Bill”), and Song of the Year (“Kill Bill”).

In the competitive rap division, noteworthy contenders for Best Rap Album include Drake & 21 Savage’s “Her Loss,” Travis Scott’s “UTOPIA,” Nas & Hit-Boy’s “King’s Disease 3,” Metro Boomin’s “Heroes & Villains,” and Killer Mike’s “Michael.”

The race for Best Rap Song features tracks like Doja Cat’s “Attention,” Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock,” Drake & 21 Savage’s “Rich Flex,” and Killer Mike’s “Scientists & Engineers” collaboration with André 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane.

Despite a notable absence of hip-hop artists in the major categories, Ice Spice, previously honored at the MTV Video Music Awards and BET Hip-Hop Awards, is vying for the title of Best New Artist.
