The excitement for the 2024 Grammy Awards continues to build as Travis Scott, Burna Boy, and Luke Combs join the stellar lineup of performers. CBS unveiled the latest additions during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. These three artists will share the stage with previously announced performers Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo.

Each of the newly added artists is not only set to perform but is also vying for Grammy recognition. Travis Scott is in the running for the Best Rap Album category with his latest project, “Utopia.” If victorious, this would mark his first Grammy win, despite accumulating 10 nominations throughout his career. Luke Combs competes in the Best Country Solo Performance category for his rendition of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car.” Burna Boy, leading in nominations among the three, is nominated in four categories, including Best Global Music Album (“I Told Them…”), Best African Music Performance (“City Boys”), Best Global Music Performance (“Alone”), and Best Melodic Rap Performance (“Sittin’ on Top of the World”).

SZA emerges as the front-runner with a whopping nine nominations, contending for Album of the Year for “SOS,” as well as Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and more. Phoebe Bridgers follows closely as the second-most nominated artist, boasting seven chances to win, primarily attributed to her contributions to Boygenius. The iconic N.W.A. will also be honored with a lifetime achievement award.

As anticipation builds for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled to air on Sunday, February 4 at 8:00 PM on CBS and Paramount+, CBS promises to reveal more performers in the coming two weeks leading up to the ceremony. Stay tuned for further updates on this highly anticipated musical event.
