Today, at the General Court Martial in Makindye, a crucial decision looms over the fate of 28 detained activists, including Olivia Lutaaya, Machete, Sanya, Kalanzi, and several others. The court has set the date for the ruling on their bail application to be April 15, 2024.

These activists have been at the forefront of advocating for human rights and political reform in Uganda, bravely speaking out against injustice and oppression. However, their efforts have led to their unjust detention, facing charges in a military court.

Despite the challenges they face, they have not stood alone. Supporters from across Uganda and around the world have rallied in solidarity, demanding justice and freedom for these courageous individuals.

As the date for the bail ruling approaches, the hopes and prayers of many are with Olivia Lutaaya, Machete, Sanya, Kalanzi, and their fellow activists. Their release would not only signify a victory for the cause of human rights but also a testament to the power of unity and perseverance in the face of adversity.
