The California-based rappers, YG and Saweetie, were first linked romantically in the spring, making public appearances together at events like Coachella. Despite being photographed on holiday together in Mexico shortly after, neither party publicly commented on the relationship.

The couple was also slated to embark on the Str8 to the Klub Tour in collaboration with Tyga last year. However, the concerts were unexpectedly canceled without explanation.
