The 2024 RodeoHouston is set to kick off next month with a powerhouse lineup featuring headliners 50 Cent and Jelly Roll, among other notable artists. According to Billboard, the G-Unit mogul and the crossover Rap-to-Country sensation will share the stage with the Jonas Brothers, Lainey Wilson, Eric Church, Los Tigres del Norte, and Blake Shelton. The annual event, commencing on February 27 at the NRG Stadium, promises a diverse musical experience for fans and will continue through March 17.

Rodeo president and CEO Chris Boleman expressed excitement about the eclectic mix of genres featured in this year’s RodeoHouston lineup, welcoming both debut performers and returning favorites. The event aims to showcase musical talent ranging from country roots to EDM and hip-hop.

While 50 Cent will be making his first appearance on the RodeoHouston stage as a performer, the Queens native has been a notable presence at the rodeo in previous years, often making headlines for his participation and spectatorship. In 2022, 50 Cent participated in the Uncorked! International Wine Competition at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

During the wine competition, where wealthy individuals bid on expensive wines from various countries, 50 Cent, representing his company Sire Spirits, secured the Top Texas Wine — Hye Meadow Winery Boooom Red, Texas High Plains, 2017 — for a staggering $125,000. The Power executive producer humorously celebrated his victory on Instagram, noting the significance of winning a bid at the wine auction.

“So I finally won a bid at the wine auction, you’re a nobody till you win a bid at the wine auction. Now I have a bottle of wine that costs more than a Rolls Royce. I just got excited. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi,” 50 Cent wrote in the caption of his post.

The rapper playfully poked fun at the auction organizers in another post, sharing a photo with two gentlemen and joking that they were sent over to ensure he paid for the expensive wine.

“So these were the 2 guys they sent over to make sure I paid for it,” 50 Cent wrote. “I was like what’s wrong with you guys, I can’t change my mind. LOL @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi @bottlerover.”
