TORONTO, Canada — Her Royal Highness Princess Joan Nassolo is set to preside over the KF@30 Buganda Royal Dinner & Prayers Day 2026, as the Buganda Kingdom’s Essaza Canada prepares for a major gathering in Toronto to commemorate 30 years of the Kabaka Foundation.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, will take place at the Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites, 175 Wynford Drive, bringing together members of the Baganda community, friends of Buganda, cultural and faith leaders, youth, families, community organizations and invited guests.
Princess Joan Nassolo is expected to deliver His Majesty the Kabaka’s message to the Kabaka Foundation leadership and the Baganda community in Canada.
The celebration is being organized by Buganda Kingdom Essaza Canada, in partnership with Kabaka Foundation Canada, the Office of Omubaka wa Ssabasajja Kabaka in Canada, and Bulungibwansi Canada Association.
30 years of the Kabaka Foundation
The KF@30 celebration marks three decades of the Kabaka Foundation, which has supported initiatives in areas including education, health, environmental conservation, cultural preservation and community development.
The Toronto event will feature prayers dedicated to Ssabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, official remarks, cultural presentations, youth participation, fundraising, dinner, entertainment and community networking.
Organizers say the gathering will not only celebrate the foundation’s achievements but also raise resources for community-focused projects in Uganda.
Part of the funds raised is expected to support Kabaka Foundation scholarships for children living in slum communities around Kampala, while another portion will go towards the completion of Essaza Canada’s clean-water construction project in the Buganda region.
“This gathering is both a celebration and a responsibility,” the KF@30 Organizing Team said, calling on the community to come together in thanksgiving, culture, unity and service.
