Airtel Money Uganda Contributes UGX 265M to Busoga Royal Wedding

Airtel Money Uganda recently presented a significant contribution of UGX 265M in support of the Busoga Royal Wedding. Japhet Aritho, Managing Director of Airtel Money, announced this significant gesture during a press conference held at Sheraton Hotel. The event was graced by Busoga Kingdom’s 2nd Deputy Premier Osman Noor Ahmed and Ranmal Viram Keshwala, Chairman of Keshwala Group of companies.

Aritho expressed gratitude for the enormous support that Airtel has received from the Busoga Region. He highlighted that such a time is ideal to reciprocate the goodwill by taking part in significant occasions like the upcoming Busoga Royal Wedding, which holds great historical significance in the region’s history.

He emphasized, “Just as the Busoga Kingdom stands united, it reflects that together, we can accomplish remarkable things. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating love, culture, and unity in this memorable journey.”

Mr. Noor expressed his appreciation for Airtel Money’s generous contribution. “We want to thank Airtel for their generosity, which will significantly contribute to the history of the kingdom,” he remarked.

Additionally, Buganda Kingdom also extended their support by presenting a cheque of Shs 20m to the Busoga Kingdom for the royal wedding preparations. The cheque was handed over by the Katikiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, to the Katukiro of Busoga, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, at Bulange Mengo.

The royal wedding between Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV and Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi is scheduled for November 18, 2023.
