Alleged Shooting of NUP’s Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu – STEP BY STEP GUIDE
Wakiso District, Uganda – Hon. As he departed the event, he and his entourage decided to leave their vehicles and embark on a procession through Bulindo town. Despite warnings from the police, who advised against the procession due to concerns about public safety and road obstruction, Hon. Kyagulanyi and his team proceeded, leading to a confrontation with the police.
According to reports from the scene, the police intervened to prevent the procession from continuing, resulting in a heated altercation. It is during this confrontation that the controversy emerged. While the police officers on site claim that Hon. Kyagulanyi stumbled and fell while attempting to get into his vehicle, leading to his injury, Hon. Kyagulanyi and his team assert that he was shot during the altercation.
The conflicting accounts have sparked significant public interest and concern, with calls for a thorough investigation into the matter. Hon. Kyagulanyi was quickly taken to Najaeem Medical Centre in Bulindo, where he received first aid treatment for his injuries.
