Basketball Wives Star British Williams Arrested for Failure to Begin Prison Sentence

Reality TV personality British Williams, known for her stint on Basketball Wives, has been taken into custody after failing to surrender to corrective services to commence her prison sentence for 15 felonies. Williams, who had previously received a suspended sentence to spend Christmas with her daughter, missed the January 3 surrender deadline. Her subsequent request for a second suspension was denied, leading to her immediate remand into custody. Williams is scheduled to appear before a judge on January 25.

In December 2023, Williams was sentenced to four years for a range of financial crimes. Despite claiming ignorance of the illegality of many of her actions and protesting the severity of her sentence, Williams faces an uphill battle in gaining sympathy from the court due to the extensive nature of her misdeeds.

According to sports CPA Robert Raiola, Davis faced charges including “health care fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to make false statements, and conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud.” This case involves 18 former players and affiliated individuals, highlighting the widespread nature of the alleged fraud.
