Shortly after rapper Blueface’s arrest, Zeus Network announced a new reality TV show hosted by the artist called “Rap Queens West.” The show aims to discover the most unique female rapper, with the winner earning a $1 million recording contract with Blue’s label, MILF Music. The announcement video humorously parodied the opening of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, and auditions for the show are now open to the public.

Despite the show’s exciting premise, much of the public reaction focused on the timing of the announcement following Blueface’s recent arrest. Some expressed skepticism about the prize, considering Blueface’s financial history. Criticisms surfaced, with some likening the show to “America’s Next Chrisean Rock.”

The overshadowed announcement followed news of Blueface turning himself in for a parole violation, as reported by his manager Wack 100 and later confirmed by Blue’s mom, Karlissa Saffold. The parole violation relates to shooting charges in 2022, for which Blue is currently on three years of probation. Saffold attributed the situation to the mothers of Blue’s children and expressed concerns about their influence on his legal troubles. Blueface, yet to address the situation publicly, appeared in good spirits during a video of his arrest.
