Throughout the month, Boosie Badazz has stirred controversies by calling out artists, including Kodak Black and YG, for allegedly sampling or interpolating his work without permission. The focal point of Boosie’s recent rants has been Rod Wave, intensifying their beef. Boosie has escalated the situation by raising the threat of a lawsuit, leading to a recent Instagram Live session where he discussed potential developments in the legal dispute.

Boosie claimed that he made Rod Wave an offer to settle the matter outside of court. According to Boosie, he suggested Rod pay him $200,000 and provide 25% of the track’s future earnings. Boosie argued that opting for this settlement would be a more straightforward and cost-effective resolution than a protracted legal battle. Despite the Livestream, Boosie’s intentions regarding the lawsuit remain unclear.

The dispute with Rod Wave is not the only legal challenge Boosie faces. In a recent interview with Vlad TV, he revealed that he is currently dealing with two lawsuits filed against him. One involves a wrongful death lawsuit related to an incident near a music video shoot in 2017. The other stems from a fight during a 2021 show at State Farm Arena.

The latest developments in the Rod Wave lawsuit follow Boosie’s earlier claims that it was “too late” to resolve the matter without legal action. The ongoing controversies highlight the complexities artists face in navigating sampling permissions and the potential legal consequences associated with such disputes. The offer made by Boosie to Rod Wave adds a layer of negotiation to a situation that could potentially result in a lawsuit if unresolved.
