A video surfaced showing the two stars seated together in the front row, with Quavo notably engrossed in his phone throughout the brief clip. Observers expressed surprise at the unexpected pairing, considering the rocky history between the two that stretches back to 2017.
In 2017, tensions escalated when Chris Brown’s entourage reportedly clashed with Migos at a BET Awards afterparty. The feud was rumored to be connected to speculation about a romantic link between Quavo and Brown’s ex, Karrueche Tran.
After the Rhude show, Brown took to social media, seemingly denying any newfound camaraderie with Quavo. While not explicitly mentioning the Migos member, Brown’s Instagram comment hinted at the context: “Can’t pick who you sit by. Fuck all that growth shit. N-gga not finna fumble my bag for little n-ggas.”
The feud between Brown and Quavo flared up again in 2021 when Brown taunted Quavo following the latter’s victory in a celebrity 2-on-2 basketball tournament. Brown claimed on Instagram, “They knew who not to ask for on that 2 on 2 basketball. I would’ve cooked Quavo and Jack [Harlow]! On my soul! Guess they wanted a smoke-free zone.”
Quavo responded, asserting, “Chris Brown ain’t cooking nan call next n-gga!!!” Unfazed, Brown retorted, “Ain’t no next… I’m on now. Set it up lil n-gga. U know dis work different.”
In 2022, dating rumors between Quavo and Karrueche resurfaced when the two were spotted having dinner together in West Hollywood. However, Tran clarified to TMZ that their relationship was strictly platonic, emphasizing their friendship and enjoyment of life without any serious commitments.
This revelation came two months after the duo vacationed together with friends in St. Martin, signaling a shift from the romantic speculation surrounding their connection. The awkward encounter at Paris Fashion Week suggests that the history between Chris Brown and Quavo continues to cast a shadow over their interactions.
