Chrisean Rock Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Assault After Tamar Braxton Show

Social media personality and rapper Chrisean Rock finds herself embroiled in legal trouble once again, as she faces a lawsuit for an alleged assault last November. James Wright Chanel, a backup singer for Grammy Award nominee Tamar Braxton, filed the lawsuit against Rock on Tuesday (February 6), accusing her of assaulting him following a Tamar Braxton show in Los Angeles. According to legal documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times, Wright Chanel claims he suffered two broken teeth and facial cuts as a result of the incident.

This lawsuit adds to Rock’s legal woes, as she already faces a criminal case filed last month for the same altercation. Wright Chanel’s attorney alleges that Rock repeatedly struck his client in the face without provocation, causing significant injuries. The plaintiff also accuses Rock of using a homophobic slur during the altercation.

The altercation reportedly erupted after Rock became upset over not being allowed to perform at the event. Despite Rock’s previous claims of innocence and the absence of footage capturing the alleged attack, Wright Chanel’s attorney maintains that his client’s injuries were severe and unwarranted.

In response to the allegations, Rock and her associates have vehemently denied any wrongdoing, suggesting that the accusations are motivated by clout chasing. During an Instagram Live session shortly after the incident, Rock and her friend questioned the veracity of the claims, emphasizing the lack of evidence supporting the allegations.

Rock, who adamantly refutes the accusations, expressed frustration over being falsely accused and reiterated her innocence. She emphasized the absence of concrete evidence, including a police report or video footage, to substantiate the claims against her.
