Drake and Lil Wayne Reunite for Big As The What? Tour Finale in New Jersey
When Drake and J. Cole first announced their joint Big As The What? tour, some fans were disappointed to learn that J. Cole wouldn’t be available for certain shows. However, the disappointment quickly turned to excitement when a stellar replacement was revealed for the tour’s final two stops in New Jersey. Alongside Lil Durk, the legendary Lil Wayne will join Drake at Newark’s Prudential Center to close out the tour with two back-to-back performances on April 4 and 5. Fans in New Jersey expressed immense excitement, while those outside the area lamented missing out on this epic opportunity.
Presale tickets for the final shows go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday, March 6) on Drake’s website for Cash App card members, with general sales opening on Friday (March 8). Additionally, Lil Wayne might make surprise appearances at other tour stops, including the March 28 and 29 shows at the UBS Arena in Long Island, as reported by X. AP reporter Colby Guy hinted at Wayne’s potential guest appearances in Florida, while Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center also announced his involvement in a Big As The What? show.
For fans, the reunion of Lil Wayne and Drake is a highly anticipated moment, as the two continue to support each other in their careers. Lil Wayne recently spoke about the criticism Drake faces, attributing it to societal norms. “He light-skinned,” Wayne stated on Undisputed, “That’s just American history. How I know is because I’m not light-skinned. I hated on all light-skinned dudes in school. So yeah, it’s American history, man.”
