Over the weekend, a video circulated on social media showing Drake meeting up with Finesse2tymes’ son, FNG King, at a club. In the video, both artists share laughs while King displays a considerable stack of cash. While some fans found amusement in the clip, a significant portion expressed concerns and discontent with the situation.
Critics drew attention to Drake’s own son, Adonis, questioning whether he would permit him to be in a similar environment. A Twitter user remarked, “I bet you he wouldn’t let him play with his son,” while another questioned the appropriateness, asking, “Why is this child in this environment? Would Drake bring his own child to this same environment, and would that not be equally as weird? Would Drake even introduce his child to this child?”
Several users pointed out perceived inconsistencies and potential hypocrisies in Drake’s actions. One Twitter user noted the absence of LGBTQ+ representation in the video, stating, “Not a single lgbt+ in sight. Yet we’re pushing an agenda on children…” Another expressed concern about the exposure of young Black boys to adult environments, contrasting it with the expectation that Drake would not expose his own son Adonis to similar situations.
The controversy surrounding Drake’s recent social media appearance adds to the headlines he made over the weekend, with fans drawing comparisons between him and Yasiin Bey. This comes after Bey criticized Drake for producing commercial music in a recent interview with The Cutting Room Floor podcast. The discussions and debates around Drake’s actions continue to capture attention on social media platforms.
