Born Shafik Walukagga on January 10, 1996, in Kampala, Uganda, Fik Fameica stands as a prominent figure in the country’s vibrant music scene. Renowned by his stage names Fik Fameica, Fresh Bwoy, and King Kong, he has carved a niche for himself with a distinctive fusion of Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Afropop, and Dancehall.

Fameica embarked on his musical journey in 2015 with the release of his debut single, “Pistol,” under the Black Man Town music label, led by the iconic Ugandan musician Geosteady. This initial success paved the way for a recording contract with Kama Ivien Management. Notable singles like “Salawo,” “Mafia,” “Sconto,” “Property,” and the collaboration with Nigerian superstar Patoranking on “Omu Bwati” have contributed to his widespread recognition.

In 2018, Fameica showcased his versatility with hits like “Mafia,” “My Property,” “Tonskuma,” and “Kutama,” earning him accolades such as Breakthrough Artist, Best in Hip-Hop, and Best Rap Song for “Kutama” at the HiPipo Awards. His collaboration with Patoranking in 2019 marked his foray into the international music scene. The same year saw the launch of his record label, Fresh Gang Records, solidifying his status in the industry.
