The air was filled with warmth and gratitude as Harriet KAKINDA hosted a heartwarming Thanksgiving Holy Mass on January 4, 2025. At her residence in NorthYork, Ontario Canada, surrounded by family, friends, and the cherished St. Andrew Catholic Parish Church Ugandan Community, Harriet, poured out her joy and heartfelt appreciation for the blessings she has received. This celebration wasn’t just another event—it was a spiritual expression of Harriet’s journey, resilience, and unwavering faith.

On September 21, 2024, Harriet narrowly escaped a potentially life-altering accident. Reflecting on that fateful day, she chose to dedicate this moment to honor God’s protection and blessings. “I have been organizing parties, but I thought this was the time to do it with the church since God has done a lot for me,” she shared. This profound realization turned her gratitude into a communal celebration, uniting loved ones in a shared expression of faith.

Rev. Fr. Robert Sekyanzi led the Holy Mass, graced by the St. Andrew Catholic Parish Church Ugandan Community choir, whose uplifting melodies resonated deeply with all attendees. Harriet’s family, friends, and well-wishers created a warm, joyful atmosphere. From heartfelt prayers to a shared feast, every moment of the celebration reflected Harriet’s deep sense of gratitude and her commitment to the bonds of family and faith.

Harriet extended her heartfelt thanks to all those who made this day a reality. In her own words:
“Special thanks to Rev. Fr. Robert Sekyanzi, the St. Andrew Catholic Parish Church Ugandan Community, the choir, my family, and all those who made this day happen. You are truly special people in my life, and I wish you a blessed and prosperous New Year 2025.”

Harriet’s story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of faith, gratitude, and the strength of the community. Her Thanksgiving celebration was not just an event but an inspiration to cherish life’s blessings and express our gratitude in meaningful ways.
