Ice Spice, the New York rapper known for her fiery clapbacks, recently faced criticism online, and her response left fans divided. A Twitter user posted a video of Ice Spice performing her latest single, “Think U The S**t (Fart),” along with a suggestion that she should seek help with her performing and stage presence or return to the Bronx. Ice Spice’s retort was a mirror selfie captioned with, “while we’re being constructive.”
Unlike her previous clapbacks, this one sparked disappointment among fans due to its lack of clarity. The ambiguity raised questions about whether she was targeting the critic’s looks, outfit, body, or camera angles. Some fans expressed concerns that the response might be perceived as fat-phobic if directed at the individual’s body. While Ice Spice is known for her trolling, critics argued that there are better ways to convey a message without resorting to comments on someone’s physical appearance.
Many suggested that Ice Spice should channel her energy into addressing alleged rap opponents, with ongoing speculation about potential conflicts, particularly with Latto. The anticipation around song snippets and social media exchanges has stirred rumors, and if a concrete feud materializes, it could significantly impact the rap scene.
With Ice Spice’s upcoming album, Y2K, slated for release later this year, fans are curious to see the direction she takes. Whether she continues with the Jersey drill sound that she’s known for or explores new artistic realms, her next moves are sure to generate excitement and discussions.
