The 16 time Uganda Premier league champions had earlier decided to retain Bogere and has recently been training with the team.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Bogere’s exit came after a row he had with the club Chief Executive Officer William Nkemba over match winning bonuses.

SC Villa paid three months out of the six that were remaining on Bogere’s contract. The striker had insisted on receiving a full pay of the six months but finally agreed to receive payment of three months.

He joined SC Villa at the start of the 2022/23 season on a two year employment contract from Proline FC.

Bogere joins Davis Ssekajja, Ivan Sserubiri and Rogers Kiwanuka who were also shown the exit at the record Ugandan champions.

SC Villa finished the first round of the season in fifth position with 26 points and will take on SC Tawai in the round of 64 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
