UPDF FC Unveil Former SC Villa Midfielder

Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC have unveiled former SC Villa midfielder Davis Ssekajja.

Ssekajja joins the army side as a free agent after being released by SC Villa earlier this transfer window.

Ssekajja has put pen to paper on a one year employment contract with UPDF FC

Ssekajja has also previously featured for Bright Stars also in the Uganda Premier league.

He was also part of the Uganda Hippos team that reached the U-20 AFCON Final in Mauritania in 2021 before losing 2-0 to Ghana.

Meanwhile, the army side have already signed former players Richard Anyama and Ronald Owiny Ogenga.

They also beefed up their technical team with former Bright Stars and Vipers SC coach Paul Kiwanuka.

UPDF are in preparing to face off with Pajule Lions on Thursday 25th January 2024 in the round 64 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The Army side collected only nine points from the 15 games they played in the first of the season and are second from the bottom on the UPL log.
