In the second game of this year’s Victoria Cup, the Kenyan national rugby team, Kenya Simbas, exhibited a commanding performance against Zambia on Wednesday evening at Kyadondo Rugby, securing a 36-12 victory.

Kenya’s squad, which saw 13 players making their debut in the match, swiftly took the lead within two minutes through Hillary Odhiambo. By halftime, they had established a lead of 19-6, with Joel Inzuga and Paul Mutsami contributing two more tries.

Following this emphatic win, Kenya currently holds the top spot on the Victoria Cup leaderboard with a bonus point win, acquiring 5 points. Uganda follows closely in second place with four points, while Zambia has yet to secure any points.

The result sets the stage for an intense culmination to the Victoria Cup as Uganda prepares to face Kenya in Bweyogerere in a highly anticipated match, doubling as the first round of the Elgon Cup, scheduled for Sunday.
