Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club made a significant announcement on Thursday morning, revealing David Obua as the newly appointed head coach of the team.

The Tax Collectors confirmed the hiring of Obua on a one-year contract, expressing their delight over his inclusion in the club’s coaching staff.

In the statement released by the club, Obua’s appointment marks a new chapter in their coaching structure. He takes over the position left vacant after the unfortunate passing of Sam Timbe earlier this year. Since then, Fred Muhumuza has been temporarily leading the team.

However, Muhumuza, despite relinquishing the head coach role, remains an integral part of the club, taking on the position of second assistant. Joining Obua as the first assistant coach is Peter Byaruhanga Adyeri.

This new role marks Obua’s first venture as a head coach in the top-tier league, showcasing a notable progression in his coaching career. Previously, Obua served as the coach of Lango Province in the FUFA Drum tournament.
