Actress Nia Long and NBA coach Ime Udoka have reached a significant development in their ongoing custody battle. The contentious breakup was sparked when Udoka’s affair with a Celtics staffer came to light, leading to his departure from the team and the subsequent breakup with Long. Since then, Udoka has become the head coach of the Houston Rockets, while Long has focused on raising their son, Kez.

In the latest update from TMZ, it has been revealed that Nia Long will have sole physical custody of Kez, with Udoka retaining visitation rights. The decision was reportedly mutual, considering Udoka’s demanding travel schedule as an NBA head coach. Another crucial aspect of the settlement is that Udoka will be required to pay $32.5K per month in child support, reflecting the income disparity between the two.

With Udoka’s monthly earnings at $400K and Long’s at $20K, the child support amount was determined based on the significant difference in their incomes. Notably, Udoka was initially informed that he might have to pay $56K per month, but both parties agreed to a reduced figure.

The resolution marks the conclusion of a complex and widely publicized breakup that made headlines in tabloids last year. After a year and a half of legal proceedings, Nia Long and Ime Udoka have reached an agreement, bringing an end to their challenging chapter.
