Nup’s Youth Pastor ,Vicelo Vicent Mpiima Talks Tough on Corruption In Uganda

Kampala, Uganda – In a stirring call to action, Pastor Vicelo Vicent Mpiima, a prominent spiritual leader and human rights activist, has made a compelling plea to Ugandans to unite against the scourge of corruption. Speaking at a recent gathering, Pastor Vicelo emphasized the vital role of spiritual leaders in combating corruption, highlighting its devastating impact on the nation.

“Corruption has ravaged our nation, perpetuating poverty, inequality, and injustice,” Pastor Vicelo declared. “As people of faith, we cannot stand idly by while the vulnerable suffer. We believe that corruption is not only a moral issue but also a spiritual one, as it undermines the dignity of humanity created in God’s image.”

The event marked the beginning of a peaceful march organized by Pastor Vicelo and his congregation at Ethereal Sanctuary Altar Ministries. The march aims to amplify the voices of Ugandans who are no longer willing to tolerate corruption. “By joining us in this peaceful march, you will be adding your voice to the growing chorus of Ugandans who refuse to tolerate corruption any longer. Your participation will send a powerful message to our leaders that the faith community will no longer condone corruption,” he stated.

He called on the faith community to stand in solidarity, describing their unity as a beacon of hope for many. “We believe that the Church has a prophetic role to play in speaking truth to power and advocating for justice. Your solidarity would be a beacon of hope for many and would help to amplify our message,” he urged.

Let us unite in this noble cause and may God bless our efforts,” he concluded.

Pastor Vicelo Vicent Mpiima: A Biography

Born on December 4, 1997, at St. Francis Naggalama Hospital in Mukono, Pastor Vicelo Vicent Mpiima’s journey has been one of faith, leadership, and activism. His parents, Mr. Sitenda Kambwa and Mrs. Mbabazi Rahmah, raised him in Wabigalo, Namuwongo in the Kampala district.

Pastor Vicelo’s education began at Wabigalo Primary School and continued at Ebenezer Secondary Schools. He later attended Core Technical and Business Institute, where he graduated with a diploma in mass communication and journalism. His educational background laid the foundation for his dual roles as a spiritual leader and a communicator.

Currently, Pastor Vicelo serves as the senior pastor at Ethereal Sanctuary Altar Ministries. His leadership extends beyond the church as he holds the position of LC1 chairperson of Railway Zone Wabigalo Makindye Division. In addition to his pastoral and community leadership roles, he is a businessman and a dedicated father to both his spiritual and biological children.
