Paul McCartney Raves About Beyonce’s Rendition of “Blackbird” from COWBOY CARTER Album
Last month, Beyonce unveiled her highly anticipated album COWBOY CARTER, which showcased her venture into country music alongside various other genres. Among the standout tracks was her rendition of The Beatles’ classic “Blackbird,” originally featured on the legendary band’s 1968 White Album and penned by Paul McCartney.
McCartney, the iconic musician behind the song, recently shared his admiration for Beyonce’s interpretation in a heartfelt Instagram post. Praising her rendition as “magnificent” and lauding its alignment with the civil rights message that inspired the original composition, McCartney urged fans to listen to Beyonce’s take on the timeless track.
The accolades for Beyonce don’t end there, as she was honored with an innovator award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards earlier this week. Even former First Lady Michelle Obama joined the chorus of praise, taking to Twitter to commend COWBOY CARTER.
While Beyonce’s album has received widespread acclaim, not everyone has been completely enamored with it. Pop singer Lily Allen recently voiced her critiques of certain elements of the record and its rollout on a podcast episode.
As Beyonce’s cover of “Blackbird” continues to garner acclaim from music legends and fans alike, it remains a standout moment on the COWBOY CARTER album.
