Playboi Carti’s recent fashion statements have sparked confusion and amusement among onlookers, with Popcaan and others expressing bewilderment at the rapper’s unconventional wardrobe choices.

The Atlanta artist was photographed hitting the studio alongside Kanye West on Monday (February 5), donning a distinctive one-piece mesh top that garnered attention for its unique design. Despite the top being unbuttoned in the images circulating online, social media users couldn’t resist sharing their candid thoughts, particularly evident in the comments section of Akademiks’ post featuring the photos.

Popcaan weighed in with a simple “Yyyyyyyyyy,” while others offered humorous comparisons and remarks, with comments ranging from likening Carti’s attire to that of a “Jamaican warlord named ofuofu” to jokingly suggesting he resembled a character from the film “Tropic Thunder.”

In addition to their studio session, Playboi Carti and Kanye West were also spotted filming a video the previous day, with Kanye donning two eerie masks simultaneously, each inspired by iconic horror movie characters.

Accompanied by wife Bianca Censori in a car, Kanye sported a Michael Myers rubber mask layered with a hockey mask reminiscent of Jason Vorhees. Also present in the car were Carti and actor/model Luka Sabbat.

The entourage reportedly made a stop at the birthday party for Travis Scott’s children, Stormi and Aire, although it remains unclear if Kanye wore the unsettling masks to the celebration.

While details about the video shoot remain scarce, Playboi Carti is anticipated to feature on Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign’s upcoming album, “Vultures Volume 1,” contributing to a track titled “Fuk Sumn,” which also includes Quavo.

During a recent Travis Scott concert, Kanye West confirmed that “Vultures Volume 1” is slated for release on February 9, marking the first of three installments. Subsequent parts are scheduled for March 8 and April 5, respectively.

Travis Scott took the opportunity to pay tribute to Kanye West, recognizing him as a pivotal figure in his career and describing him as “the greatest of all time,” acknowledging the doors Kanye opened for him in the industry.
