Tony Williams Gad, formerly known as Tony Williams, is an accomplished Reggae artist currently residing in Ethiopia. His musical journey began in 1989 at the age of 17, inspired by Reggae sound systems affiliated with the Twelve Tribes of Israel organization. Over the years, Tony’s artistic endeavors have taken him from California to New Zealand, New York, Jamaica, and, ultimately, Ethiopia.

In the early stages of his career, Tony Williams Gad’s mic-chanting style drew inspiration from Reggae luminaries such as Brigadier Jerry, Sister Carol, Shinehead, and Daddy U-Roy. His ability to transform life experiences into poetic songwriting quickly became evident.

Tony’s musical evolution led him to front the Twelve Tribes band in 1992, covering the song “If You Don’t Have Love” by Imandeya. As his passion for conscious roots and spreading messages of love and hope grew, Tony formed his own band, “Rimshot,” in 1996. The band toured extensively, supporting international acts and headlining shows across the United States.
