Uganda’s U20 Women’s National Football Team has announced a provisional squad of 28 players as they prepare for the upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier matches against Senegal. The Queen Cranes will commence their residential training camp this Sunday.
Captain Hadijah Nandago and assistant captain Phiona Nabulime will be absent from the squad due to their Senior Six examinations.
The Queen Cranes are scheduled to compete against Senegal in Dakar on November 10, 2023, with a return match a week later at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
Notably, the Queen Cranes advanced to this stage by eliminating Mozambique with an impressive 8-0 aggregate score. The next round will determine the four African teams that will qualify for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia next year.
