Paidha Town in Zombo District saw a sizeable turnout as opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) and his team continued their regional mobilization tour. The crowd size, according to the team, reflected what they described as a population eager for political and economic change.
During the address, Kyagulanyi and his team spoke about economic challenges facing residents of Zombo, attributing them to what they characterized as widespread corruption. They specifically referenced concerns about service award practices in the parliamentary commission, alleging that such actions undermine accountability and development. The remarks included criticism directed at the district’s woman representative, whom they accused of participating in these processes.
The team urged residents to remain united and focused, emphasizing that collective effort is essential in their pursuit of what they described as freedom and improved governance. Supporters in Paidha responded with enthusiasm, marking the rally as one of the more vibrant stops in the ongoing tour.
The Zombo event forms part of a broader campaign trail across the West Nile sub-region as the opposition continues to engage communities on governance, economic issues, and national reforms.
