The National Unity Platform (NUP) began its presidential campaign activities in the West Nile sub-region with a rally at Kopio Grounds in Pakwach District. Party leader Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, was welcomed by a large and enthusiastic gathering of supporters who assembled to hear his message, which he described as a “gospel of freedom.”

The event marked the official start of the party’s regional campaign trail, drawing crowds from across Pakwach and nearby areas. Kyagulanyi expressed appreciation for what he called the warm reception from residents eager to engage with the campaign’s themes and promises.
However, the NUP team reported challenges in reaching some parts of the region, particularly Madi-Okollo District. According to the team, the poor state of the dusty roads made it difficult to arrive on schedule, causing delays in engagements planned for that area.
Despite the setback, the campaign continued with plans to proceed to other West Nile communities as the tour advances.
