Ma$e’s recent account of encountering a group of Bloods after the tragic passing of The Notorious B.I.G. has prompted revelations from Diddy’s former bodyguard, shedding new light on the incident.

In an interview clip from The Art of Dialogue with Gene Deal, the ex-bodyguard delved into the harrowing events of that night.

According to Gene Deal, instead of attending the infamous 1997 VIBE party in Los Angeles, Ma$e chose to stay in his hotel room, reportedly spending time with Brandy.

During this period, Ma$e mentioned that Blood gang members were allegedly on the hunt for more artists associated with Bad Boy Records following Biggie’s shooting.

“I called Ma$e that morning, and we talked,” Gene Deal explained. “He informed me about the Bloods and their presence there. I was with a few individuals from Black Hands, a faction of the Black Guerrilla Mafia.”

“We went to the end of his hallway, and he mentioned there were a lot of Bloods outside. Though when I arrived, the number of individuals wasn’t as high as reported, perhaps 70, 17, 20, or 30. When you feel someone is after you and people are running the hallways, knowing Bad Boy was staying there, it’s an alarming situation.”

Reflecting on the distressing circumstances, Ma$e discussed the ordeal during a previous episode of “It Is What It Is,” answering Cam’ron’s inquiries about Biggie’s death.

“I was in a hotel room with a young lady,” he recalled. “I was trapped there. There were around 70 Bloods in the hallway, and I couldn’t leave my room.”

Following Biggie’s tragic demise, Ma$e explained that the individuals may have been seeking more artists affiliated with Bad Boy, resulting in him being unable to leave until assisted by Gene Deal, Diddy’s former bodyguard.

Subsequently, Ma$e recounted feeling abandoned in L.A. after the incident. “I came there with people, but I didn’t leave with them. You know how it goes. Find your way home.”

When asked about his safe departure from the hotel, the Harlem World rapper mentioned, “To my recollection, I believe we had to head to Vegas or a similar route to return to New York.”
