Teyana Taylor is frustrated with the way her divorce from Iman Shumpert is being portrayed in the media, particularly singling out TMZ for what she perceives as misleading headlines. The “Gonna Love Me” singer took to social media to express her discontent, stating that she had made efforts to keep the matter private.

In an Instagram post, Taylor directly addressed TMZ, stating, “Yo @tmz you serious???? Y’all really be taking it too far with these d*mn misleading headlines and I’m tired of it! Every time I turn around it’s either half leaked and made up stories, or words being twisted up for clickbait!!!! I kindly ask you mothaf%ckas to mind ya damn business, and for y’all to respect me and my family’s privacy.”

It appears Taylor’s response was prompted by a TMZ story claiming that Iman Shumpert was “playing dirty in their divorce war…slowly shutting down all the utilities in the home where she lives with their 2 children.”

The “Issues/Hold On” artist filed for divorce in January 2023, using her and Iman’s initials to maintain privacy, which was later revealed by the former NBA player when he counter-filed using their real names.
