Travis Scott didn’t hold back at the 2024 Grammys, using his performance to vent frustration over perceived snubs. The rapper, also known as La Flame, delivered a dynamic medley of UTOPIA tracks during the awards ceremony on Sunday (February 4). In a fiery rendition of “FE!N” alongside Playboi Carti, Scott ad-libbed, “They slept on me 10 times,” highlighting his 10 nominations but zero wins at the Grammys.

As Scott closed out his set, he emphatically smashed folding chairs against the ground, leaving the audience speculating whether it was an expression of frustration or simply part of his high-energy performance.

Scott’s lone nomination at the Grammys was for Best Rap Album, with UTOPIA competing against Nas’ “King’s Disease III,” Metro Boomin’s “Heroes & Villains,” Drake and 21 Savage’s collaborative project “Her Loss,” and the eventual winner, Killer Mike’s “Michael.” After the winner was announced, Scott took to X (formerly Twitter) to convey his displeasure with a raised eyebrow emoji.

This isn’t the first time Scott has faced Grammy disappointment. In 2019, he was nominated for Best Rap Album for “Astroworld” but lost to Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy.” Despite the setbacks, Scott expressed excitement about UTOPIA’s nomination on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, emphasizing the significance of the recognition.

Scott, undeterred by the Grammys, is gearing up for a performance at billionaire Michael Rubin’s Super Bowl party next weekend. The star-studded event will feature performances by Ice Spice, Meek Mill, Ludacris, Ne-Yo, A$AP Ferg, and Lil Baby.

Adding to his multifaceted career, Scott’s new film, “Aggro Dr1ft,” is set to premiere in Los Angeles before touring the U.S. The film, directed by Harmony Korine and starring Scott alongside Jordi Molla, revolves around a melancholic assassin named BO preparing to confront a demonic crime lord in a vibrant Floridian realm.
