Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly Face Criticism for Controversial Halloween Costume Choices
Over the Halloween weekend, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly donned their second set of costumes, portraying characters from the anime series Death Note as they headed to a prominent Halloween bash hosted by Vas Morgan and Michael Braun. This comes after their initial costume portrayal from Kill Bill, which sparked controversy for breaching SAG-AFTRA guidelines.
Costume Controversy:
In light of the ongoing strike, SAG-AFTRA, the labor union, advised members against endorsing or promoting struck work, specifically recommending refraining from sharing such portrayals on social media platforms. Megan Fox, dressed as Gogo Yubari from Kill Bill, tagged the union in her Instagram post, while Kelly took on the character of Uma Thurman’s The Bride.

Backlash and Public Response:
Fans expressed discontent over Fox’s post, highlighting their concerns about her costume choice and its potential undermining of the union’s efforts to secure fair contracts. One fan appreciated her appearance but voiced disappointment in her public challenge against SAG-AFTRA, suggesting that such actions could weaken the collective leverage in negotiations. Another sarcastically remarked on the seeming contradiction between supporting the union’s goals and publicly appearing to counter them.

Relationship Status:
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, engaged since January 2022, experienced a period of speculation about their relationship earlier this year. Amid breakup rumors, Fox removed pictures of Kelly from her Instagram and shared lyrics from Beyoncé’s album Lemonade.
The controversy surrounding their Halloween costume choices has sparked debates about celebrity influence, union support, and public statements that intersect with larger social and labor-related issues.
